Can you survive for 24 hours without your computer?

Shutdown Day announces the Annual 2009 Campaign. Just like in years past, Shutdown Day 2009 calls on every net obsessed, computer–addicted individual to SHUT DOWN their computers for 24 hours on May 2, 2009 and do something else!

Shutdown Day 2009 will be promoting several organizations that help young people suffering from computer addiction. A bunch of events are also organized for May 2, 2009, so visit their website and watch that space.

February 2009 will long live in the memories of very many Australians. I will simply direct you to this special page.

Greg, my partner, was in Marysville for the past two weeks. Greg's ex-wife, and her husband, have lost their home yet their business was one of the handful of remaining properties in that town. I could still smell the smoke in Greg's clothes when he flew home on Thursday night.

In respect for those who have been through the experience of the fires, I won't expand with any more, here. Greg and I wish each of you much comfort and strength as you step forward, and begin your healing.

So Much To Celebrate This Month Of February!

We have spent more than one month of the year already. Congratulations America, to you and your new President. I love the participation enabled at www.whitehouse.org and you may also like to know about James Ray's Open Letter , and contribute to, to President Obama.

To all my Chinese subscribers Gong Xi Fa Cai According to Chinese belief, the Ox is a symbol of wealth and success through hard work and resilience. Enjoy this celebratory presentation by Andy Lau and these beautiful Chinese Greeting Cards for the 2009 New Year. This Chinese New Year or Spring Festival falls on Jan. 26, 2009. Chinese New Year celebration usually continues to the fifteenth day of the new year, Feb. 9, 2009.

This month is my 50th birthday, and Greg celebrated his 60th birthday last month. That's a collective 110 years of wisdom in our household! Anyone of my readers who are also turning 50 this year, you may enjoy this site and reminisce your first 10 years.

During the month of January, Greg and I changed around and swapped four rooms in the house, plus we painted the main living areas. It all looks wonderful and everything works so much better for our activities. Greg's piano students now walk directly into the teaching area from the front door, rather that through our entire home. The back end of our home is now our own again. Plus, I have a new office space. Amazing what wireless routers make available!
